A fast and flat one lap course on rural lanes around the village of Capenhurst, Cheshire. This chipped timed event is one of the fastest 5k races in the north west with PB times of 13.55 for male and 16.37 for female. This is a closed roads race.
This race is in memory of Ellesmere Port RC athlete Neil Lavery.
Parking will be at Capenhurst Technology Park, Capenhurst, Chester, CH1 6EH.
Race HQ is at Capenhurst Sports Ground, Capenhurst CH1 6HL where race numbers & timing chips are to be collected from.
This is also the warm up area for the event, please do not warm up on Capenhurst Lane.
Race Start will be 7.15pm. The roads around the course will still be open to traffic until 7:00pm.
Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Open male and female and 1st place in Vet Categories and additional prize for new course record. Overall (1st, 2nd, 3rd) prizes will be presented after the completion of the race, other prizes will be posted out in due course.
There will be bottled water and a free ice cream at the Finish area.
Entrants must be 13 and over on race day. Entry cost is £16 for UKA Affiliated Runners and £18 for non-UKA affiliated runners.
Cancellations may be made until 7th August 2026, entries can only be transferred after this date.

You may transfer your entry to another person at no extra cost using the online entry system, until 13th August 2024.
Your place cannot be deferred if you cannot attend the event.
Refunds may be authorised, at the discretion of the Race Director.
