Sandbach 10K and Sandbach 2K Under 16s Race - Sun 1 August 2021

Event Details

We're back, and earlier in the year than usual. This year we have a new race HQ at the Sandbach Rugby club, and a new course heading out towards Bradwall. The event has consistently been a great success, and we think 2021 will be no different. The 10k race will be held on Sunday 1st August and starts at 10:30. The Under 16s 2K event will start at 9:30. We have sold out for the last 3 years, so enter now to avoid disappointment.

Due to COVID restrictions we are not planning on the full family fun day and the event will need to be adhering to COVID rules in place at the time. These are constantly changing in line with government advice, and full details will be published to entrants nearer the time.

  • Mainly roads, with some Rugby fields
  • UKA License (Applied)
  • Chip-timed
  • On-line results
  • Prizes to 1st three males & females*
  • Individual prizes in veterans categories (V40, V50, and V60)*
  • Prizes to 1st Sandbach resident (male & female)*

(* Note: Only one prize per person)

We will have an updated route, which will be measured in May 2021. 

Sandbach 2k Under 16s Race

  • 2K Race for Under 16s (UKA License Applied)
  • Chip timed
  • Starts at 9:30
  • Using the fields of the Rugby Club
  • Online entries only - Entry cost £5
  • Limited to 100 places
  • Race numbers and pins to be provided on the day (have to be collected before 9:10)
  • Children under 8 on the day must be accompanied by an adult
  • Prizes for the first 3 runners as well as each age group. Note that it is a maximum of 1 prize per runner. Age group categories are under 5s, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13 and 14-15

All profits from the day as well as cake stalls, and other family activities will go to our club fund raiser the The Patryk Milner Memorial Fund ( In 2019 we raised a in excess of £3,000 for our club charity "Chance Changing Lives", so we are hoping to achieve similar in 2021

Refund Policy

The moment you enter our race we start to incur administration costs and banking charges, simply in processing your entry and payment. We also incur further charges in administering cancellations and processing refund payments.

No refunds are given. This applies also if the race has to be cancelled or postponed due to circumstances outside our control, for instance due to a bomb scare. Your entry fee is invested in the cost of staging the event, and the main costs to contractors, suppliers, administration etc. are already committed well before race day.

Furthermore most races do not offer any form of refund at all if a runner decides to cancel their place because of injury, illness, lack of training or change of plan. There are many other instances of higher priced services, such as plane, train or theatre tickets where no refunds can be given for cancellation in these circumstances.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel applications, including duplicate applications, or alter the date of the event, the course route or distance.

Transfers WILL be allowed until at least one week before the event date, this can be done via a link in the entry email.
